CurbSofa is a map for finding and posting free curbside stuff — furniture, boxes, plants — near you. We're almost ready for the Play Store. Try it early in two quick steps.

Join the tester group
Join our Google Group with the Google account you use on your Android phone. This is what unlocks the test for you.
Join the group →Opt in and install
Open the tester link, tap Become a tester, then use the Download it on Google Play link to install CurbSofa like any normal app.
Open the Play Store test →🙌 Then just keep it installed (~2 weeks)
- Please keep it installed for at least 14 days if you can — that's the requirement we need to hit.
- You don't have to use it every day. Just having it installed helps a lot.
- Browse or post free stuff near you whenever you like and see how it feels.

Why do I have to join the group first?
Google's closed testing only lets people in the tester group download the app. Joining with your phone's Google account is what makes the Play Store show you the test build.
The tester link says I'm not a tester?
Make sure you joined the group with the same Google account that's signed in on your phone, then wait a few minutes and reload the tester link. It can take a little time to sync.
Does it cost anything?
No. CurbSofa is free and always will be, and testing is free too.
How do I stop testing?
Leave the test from the Play Store listing (or leave the group), then uninstall. No hard feelings — thanks for helping!
